Enhancements

• Complete new boot experience with progress bar and visual indicators during first boot

• Well defined upgrade sequence when upgrading terminal

• Introduced Two Factor Authentication for the terminal service menu. This security enhancement ensures only authorised users can access the service menu, by generating a One-Time Passcode in MyPayter.

• Added extra information in the service menu

  • Detailed network information for LAN and WWAN (if applicable)

  • Battery information

  • Application versions

• The service menu is now part of the UI container and can be requested by tapping 5 times within 15 seconds at the top of the (touch) screen. The old service menu is not available anymore

• WIFI support has been added

• Network routes can be set for each network interface, including the metric

Issues Resolved

• Cryptographic Engine updated with new hashes as part of a wider security review

• Fixed an issue where a proxy connection could be created multiple times, reducing performance

Enhancements

• New service menu elements added to UI including:

  • Wi-Fi settings menu

  • Network disable option

• Added new characters to fonts: ȚțȘșù

• Reduced the blackout time during the screensaver to 500 ms, and added the option to configure this.

  • This functionality has additional dependencies that remain in development

• You can now set a logo in the info screen

• Scrolling text in selection and dialog screens are now static

• Payment screen language selection icon color now matches the icon color set in a custom theme

Enhancements

• Added the possibility to scan QR codes

  • This functionality has additional dependencies that remain in development

• It is now possible to reject TLS certificates which have ExtendedKeyUsage (EKU) enabled

• Multiple additional DOL tags have been added to the interface, including:
  IV, MAC, IFD, Host Error, Response Code, and Transaction Timestamp

• Added setting in protocol command to receive the complete DOL subscription list on declines

• Card Hashes are configurable. Default is Serial Number, so unique per terminal

• The socket keepalive requirement is now only required when idle, so when not between a Request and Response. Note: Start sessions that have a Card Timeout larger than 5 minutes will consider the terminal to be idle when in card reading mode

• Fixed not being able to load multiple certs when using TLS

• Fixed some cases of serial messages being split in two

• Stopping PIN screen now results in a denied response instead of an aborted response
