Assets
Custom images (logos, icons, background images) can be used on the terminal. Before custom images can be used they need to be copied to the terminal as assets. Assets can be uploaded to MyPayter and then assigned to a terminal. Once the terminal has been updated with these assets they can be referred to in UI properties and configuration wherever an asset name can be referenced. For example Info Screen background or the logo theme setting.
Image format and size
The terminal only accepts image assets in png format and must have the file extension png (case-sensitive).
Background image
Some screens support a custom background image. The image will be centered on the screen and can have a maximum size of 320x480px.
Logo
A logo can be placed at the top of most screens via the logo-image theme setting. The logo will be centered at the top of the screen with a maximum size of 320x80px.
Icons
Some screens support icons. Icons can have a maximum size of 64x64px.. Note these should be *.png files.
Custom Fonts
Assets can also be True Type Fonts e.g. *.ttf files. These can then be used in our Fully Customized Screens if needed.
Preloaded Icons / Images
There is a default set of icons and images loaded in the terminal. These can be referenced in the same way as custom assets using their name.

Uploading Assets
Assets should be uploaded via MyPayter.
Asset Best Practice
- Consider establishing a naming convention so that asset names can easily be reconciled with their content
- Only upload assets that are in use. Delete assets from MyPayter if they are no longer used. This prevents outdated assets being referenced once a terminal has updated
- Ensure asset sizes are correct prior to uploading
- Assets are only available to terminals in Domains beneath the Domain they are uploaded to. Integrators should consider using a consistent and adequately senior Domain level to store ALL assets, such that the entire asset catalogue that their terminals rely on can be viewed in a single place.
