Planned maintenance
We schedule maintenance on our cloud services, such as the Cloud Payment Service and MyPayter, to apply security updates, upgrade infrastructure, and deploy new versions. For each maintenance window, this page gives the date and time in several time zones, what changes, and the impact on your terminals and integrations.
We add each maintenance window to this page at least two weeks before it starts, at the same time as the notification email. To receive notifications about planned and unplanned downtime, subscribe to the Payter status page.
2026
The maintenance windows in 2026 are:
- October 27: Cloud Payment Service
- July 14: Cloud Payment Service
- June 30: Cloud Payment Service
- April 29: Cloud Payment Service
October 27: Cloud Payment Service
Minor updates that keep the Cloud Payment Service up to date, and the first production release of CPS 2.0, which prepares CPS for future migrations.

What
This maintenance has two parts:
- CPS: routine maintenance that deploys minor updates to the Cloud Payment Service. During the expected downtime, CPS cannot process requests.
- CPS 2.0: the first production deployment of CPS 2.0. This does not affect existing CPS users, and prepares CPS for future migrations.
July 14: Cloud Payment Service
Updates to the Cloud Payment Service that improve its stability, add a new feature, and remove a long-standing connection issue.
When

| Time: | 04:30 UTC / 06:30 CEST |
| Estimated duration: | Up to 30 minutes |

| Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) | July 14, 2026, 14:30 |
What
This maintenance includes:
- Removing a manual suppression of terminal connectivity at 02:00 UTC, which leads to false reports of terminal connection state
- Improvements to API user administration, resulting in a faster service
- Adding
selectedLanguageto the CPSCARDstate outputs during a payment
Terminals lose connectivity at the beginning of the outage, and the entire terminal estate recovers full connectivity in around 20 to 30 minutes.
June 30: Cloud Payment Service
Upgrades to the HiveMQ cluster that improve the performance and stability of the Cloud Payment Service, and fix issues found during recent unplanned outages.
When
| Date: | Tuesday, June 30, 2026 |
| Time: | 04:30 UTC / 06:30 CEST |
| Estimated duration: | Up to 30 minutes |
Time zones

| Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) | June 30, 2026, 07:30 |
| Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) | June 30, 2026, 14:30 |
What
This maintenance restarts all nodes in the HiveMQ cluster, one at a time, across an estimated 30-minute window.
Terminals lose connectivity for 5 to 15 minutes during the update window. Each node updates independently, so some terminals lose connectivity at the beginning of the window, and others toward the end.
April 29: Cloud Payment Service
Regular security patches to the CPS databases that keep CPS PCI DSS-compliant, and a planned infrastructure upgrade in the same maintenance window.
When

| Time: | 04:30 UTC / 06:30 CEST |
| Estimated duration: | Up to 7 minutes |

What
This maintenance upgrades core cloud infrastructure components, and includes:
- Routine database security patching
- Upgrading the CPS load balancers
- Updates to CPS itself, which improve terminal and state webhook recovery times during a mass reconnection event
Impact
-
CPS upgrade
The CPS update runs in parallel with the other items in this maintenance. It causes no additional downtime, and you do not need to take any action.
-
Database security patching
CPS cannot process any requests. The database server restarts in less than 30 seconds after the patch is applied, but database hardening controls are applied after the restart, so full service takes several minutes to restore. Requests fail during this period, until the service fully recovers.
-
Load balancer upgrade
During the maintenance window,
cps.mypayter.commoves to an updated load balancer, and its primary DNS IP address,34.107.204.82, is temporarily unavailable. To minimize disruption, Payter automatically falls back to the migration IP address from the October 2025 migration,34.120.69.194, which many users already have in their allow list. Users with this address in their allow list see minimal or no disruption during the load balancer migration.API calls to
cps.mypayter.comat the moment of the DNS switchover can receive an HTTP 404 or HTTP 500 error response. The switchover, while DNS changes from the primary IP address to the fallback, takes up to 1 minute, depending on your DNS server's propagation speed.
Recommended actions
To minimize disruption, add 34.120.69.194 to your systems' allow list before the maintenance window.
2025
The maintenance windows in 2025 are:
October 19: MyPayter
Upgrades to the MyPayter system architecture that improve its performance and scalability.
When
| Date: | Sunday, October 19, 2025 |
| Time: | 04:00 UTC / 06:00 CEST |
| Estimated duration: | Up to 90 minutes |
Time zones

|---|---|
| Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) | October 18, 2025, 22:00 |
| Central Daylight Time (CDT) | October 18, 2025, 23:00 |
| Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) | October 19, 2025, 00:00 |
| Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) | October 19, 2025, 04:00 |
| British Summer Time (BST) | October 19, 2025, 05:00 |
| Central European Summer Time (CEST) | October 19, 2025, 06:00 |
| Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) | October 19, 2025, 07:00 |
| Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) | October 19, 2025, 15:00 |
What
During the maintenance, MyPayter and the Payter Data API are unavailable. Users who access MyPayter see an Under Maintenance holding page, and calls to the Data API fail with a connection error.
Payter payment terminals and the Cloud Payment Service are not affected, and continue to work normally.
