Version 2.1.120

Release Date: 17th November 2025

Configurable Functionality

All of the key features below are enabled at launch for INTERNAL USE ONLY. The new functionality changes the look and feel of MyPayter and may have caused disruption were it to have been released without any notice. For each enhancement, a note is added to detail how it can be used or previewed, pending a more widespread opt-in opportunity.

Enhancements

Terminal Offline Notifications

This functionality is designed for operators of terminal estates where their systems do not interact with the Payter solutions on a day to day basis. Examples include vending solutions reliant on the VMC's MDB interface, or terminals configured to use Autoscan in forecourt solutions or unattended charity installations. MyPayter now allows a notification to be set up with the following parameters:

  • Domain (Notification) - the Domain where the notification is set. Should be a parent domain of the Terminal Domain(s)
  • Domain(s) (Terminals) - the domains that contain the terminal's to be included in the notification
  • Email Addressees - who to send the notification to each day. Does not need to be MyPayter users
  • Alert time - what time of day to send the notification each day.

Each day, at the alert time, any terminals in the specified domains which went offline, AND are currently offline will be reported and include the last time they were seen online.

The result is a daily report of any terminals which were online at some point during this alert day, but are no longer online. This logic should result in a concise list which may need manual investigation to determine the root cause of the offline situation.

Implementing Offline Notifications

Please contact integration@payter.nl directly, or your Account Manager, if you wish to use this functionality. Payter will be able to agree the best implementation of these notifications, amending them until the results are satisfactory.

tip

We do not recommend this functionality for terminals which are part of an intelligent system such as EV Charging stations or Smart vending. These solutions should have other more granular opportunities to capture on and off line notifications, as they occur. This extra level of detail is also a regulatory requirement in some markets and industries.

Transaction Summary Improvements

  • Columns now have headers to provide additional context
  • Row highlight has been removed and replaced with contextual label highlighting and coloring
  • Scheme names have been replaced with Logo's

These changes have been made to try to simplify this view whilst improving the usability of it. Further changes are expected, following selective feedback.

Reviewing Transaction Summary Improvements

For now, this is available to internal users only. Please contact your Account Manager if you would like a virtual tour of this functionality. We are likely to provide some further details of this as we build internal famliarity with it.

Advanced Configuration View

  • Advanced settings is now a single page setup instead of using tabs all the settings are vertically shown on the page supported by a search and filter/pin functionality to narrow down what setting you are searching for.
  • Adding new settings from advanced uses the template engine to preselect known and existing settings as options but will leave it open for the user to add any ‘unregistered’ setting to the terminal.
  • Advanced settings now have support for types.
  • Advanced settings now support form validation.
  • Advanced settings now support ‘on change, change setting [n] to [x]’
  • Advanced settings that have dependencies on other settings can have this visually shown to the user.

Autoscan Product Configuration

info

This functionality requires Advanced Configuration View to be used.

Designed predominantly for our Charity partners, a new layout allows for a multi-level product selection screen to be used in conjunction with Autoscan.

Example

A merchant wants to offer 10 different drinks, but expecting customers to scroll through a very long screen of all 15 buttons is not practical. Instead, the below 'nested' layout is implemented.

Payment Flow DiagramPayment Flow Diagram

The choices offered at each level are specific to the previous choice. So to order a 'Latte' the customer would select Hot Drink > Coffee > Latte.

In the new functionality, this is easier to implement and also allows for visualization of the screens.

note

Whilst the terminal has no real limit to the number of nested screens, more than 4 levels are considered a challenging and potentially frustrating customer experience. Thought should be given to each parent label to ensure it is clear what each choice entails.

Implementing Nested Autoscan Configuration

For now, this is available to internal users only. It is recommended that anyone wishing to use this functionality contacts integration@payter.nl with details of their nested product configuration. Customers in the North America region can contact their local Payter representatives.
